That's Not Me Comedy Tour Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix Concert reviews
Best blues show I have ever attended.
Here is a baseline for my critique. Panic, North Mississippi All*s, Jason Isbell, and Abbey Road between five and ten times each. Over the last decade or so, I have seen the Allmans, Mule, Robert Randolph & DMB at least ten times each.
I couldn't even sing along to almost all of it, but it didn't matter. Hands down the best blues rock, southern rock, whatever, that I have heard.
I was a Crowes fan way back when, but lost touch and haven't bought an album since the fourth one. So, it was mostly all new to me. I also never had the opportunity to go to a Crowes show. So I only remember having previously heard about 4 or 5 of the songs they played.
They revived a couple of old time gospel songs that I am pretty sure are about 150 years old. It didn't sound like a cover, so at one point I am pretty sure that in the middle of a jam they played a classical piece that bordered on Bach...no I was not trippin.
I only hope that this one dude on the radio was wrong when I heard him say that this was a farewell tour by 'That's Not Me Comedy Tour'. I kick myself in the pants multiple times for each year I missed.
